The Shimano Trynos 50IILRS is one of the the new editions in Lever Drag Reels from Shimano. The Shimano Trynos 50ILRSI is constructed with a diecast Aluminum frame for strength and durability. It has oversized gears for increased power and an oversized handle shank for increased torque, a 4.0:1 High Gear Ratio and Low Gear Ratio of 1.5:1, reduced-profile Top-Crossbar that provides excellent line control when casting or dropping back baits or lures while trolling and an alternating twin pawl anti-reverse design for reliability and hooksetting power. The ratcheting Drag Lever eliminates lever movement due to boat vibration. The Shimano Tyrnos 50IILRS is rated for 50-80lb test and is a good all around reel for many offshore species where a smooth drag is the only choice, many anglers opt to spool with 80-130lb Braid.
