May 27, 2010 Stellwagon to Tillies Banks have been loaded with fish! Top feeding Pollock are the newest addition to the Gulf of Maine. Weekend boaters chasing birds like they do for Bass and Blues are finding schools of Pollock gorging on eels! These Pollock are from 4-20 plus pounds and will put your rod to the gunwale when hooked! This has been a great addition to the already good Cod and Haddock fishing!
Codfish come in by the boatload on some days and are caught only by the skillful anglers on others. Cod in the twenty pound range have been top catch the past week with high catch a 33 lber brought in by Rob Noble of Ct.His catch was a 18lb Pollock on the teaser and his pool winning Cod on the jig. He ate his lunch after that one!
